With a booming economy and steadily increasing population, Georgia is quickly becoming a very influential and important state. Major industries in the state include manufacturing and agriculture, while Atlanta is home to the headquarters of several major corporations. No matter what the industry, truck drivers are needed desperately all over Georgia to transport goods and merchandise.

Georgia Transportation
The state of Georgia has fifteen major interstates and twenty-five U.S. routes. In addition, there are two more projected interstates being planned: Interstate 3 and Interstate 14, both of which will pass through Georgia. Some of the state's major freeways include:

- Interstate 16 is an intrastate highway that is located completely within Georgia. It begins in the city of Macon at i-75 and ends in Savannah.
- Interstate 75 is a major north and south corridor that runs from northern Michigan all the way down to Florida. I-75 passes through the Georgia cities of Macon, Atlanta, and Marietta.
- Interstate 95 is the primary interstate along the east coast of the United States. I-95 intersects I-16 at a major junction near Savannah.

Major Georgia Industries
Georgia has several major industries that contribute to the state's growing economy, manufacturing being one of the biggest. The state manufactures several different products in a variety of different areas. Some include transportation equipment, textiles, paper products, and chemical products.

Agriculture is another big industry in Georgia. Like many southern states, Georgia produces dairy products, poultry, and vegetables. In addition, the state is well-known for its production of turfgrass, pecans, and especially peaches.

Over the past few years, Atlanta has had enormous growth in terms of communications, real estate, and several other service industries.

Other industries present in the state include tourism, minerals, timber, and in fact, Georgia is home to the Granite capital of the world (the city of Elberton).
